Mother tuckers

A couple of ways to tuck a shirt or t-shirt no matter what the season is, this came up on the weekend where I got a client asking me about how to tuck his t-shirt, so the lightbulb moment came up and decided to do a blog entry about this subject.

THE SIMPLE TUCK

This works with t-shirts over jeans or casual pants, sneakers. Its pretty basic, just tuck all the t-shirt around your pants as close and fitted as possible. Its a way to make your legs and torso seem longer, this is a good tip for shorter men.

OVERSIZE SHIRT TUCK

You tuck your t-shirt just like you would in the SIMPLE TUCK, but you take the edges and gently pull them out. Great tip for men with a bulkier midsection. Its a flowy way of having a looser waistline.

FRENCH TUCK

Tuck the front part of the t-shirt and pull the sides out loosely. Wearing jeans? follow the front belt loops. This is for wearing something casual and pointing out a design detail that will elevate your look.

SIDE TUCK

Tuck the right or left side of your t-shirt right around the side of your hip and adjust it. This will help you not appear like you're swimming in t-shirt and will give you a focal point, and will make your legs look longer.

SIDE TUCK OPEN SHIRT

This is a great opportunity for layering and creating style. So you only tuck one side of the open shirt, its up to you if its the left side or the right side.

SIDE TUCK BUTTONED SHIRT

This is my favorite tuck of all time, almost the same as the one before, will work with a tightly fit shirt or a more oversize look. FIY this tuck and any of the above can be worn by men or women.
